Embryo screening can allow you to decide how you want your baby to look like and what traits you want it to have.
It can be used to select which embryos don't have a disease or sickness in them and use those ones for the baby development.
You can prevent a series of family history sickness/disease by putting a certain medicine into the embryo or freeze or throw away the embryo with that disease/sickness in them.
If you do PGD, you can make your baby be your dream baby. You get to put in fanatastic traits that will make your baby a star or more special in you and your familiy's eyes. For example, you can make your baby athletic, smart, strong, or even make your baby a great musician or singer. You get to choose for yourself!
The Cons
If the woman has a disable or messed up embryo, the doctor takes that embryo, freezes it, and then throws it away.
Only wealthy people can do PGD because the procedure is really expensive and is around the range of $300 dollars or more.
If the doctor screws up while doing the procedure, then the embryo could possibly break or infected if it is treated incorrectly.
You're basically changing who your baby is by getting this procedure called PGD, and we all know that God made all of our babies a certain, special way. If you got this procedure, then y ou're basically saying that you you didn't agree with God's opinion and decision on how you wanted your baby to be.
Also, if everyone wanted to have this procedure and they all chose that they wanted a girl, then the world's population would be full of females. If that happened, there would rarely be anymore babies and it would be rare to find a male anywhere in the world.
Sometimes, if people go with the procedure, the docter may accidentally or purposelly make a 'negative enhancement' to your soon-to-be baby such as: cancer, blindness, or deafness.
